NYECFS F2 LAT recruitment
Recruitment to one year stand alone programmes (LAT posts) each August is subject to post availability. Vacant programmes are usually advertised around March of each year.
General Information
- Availability
A small number of stand alone F2 programmes may be available in the NYEC Foundation school each year. There are usually programmes available in each of our Trusts.
The Postgraduate Dean confirms that these programmes have the required educational and Dean's approval.
- Eligibility
Applicants should have completed an F1 programme in the UK or an equivalent year outside the UK and hold full registration with the GMC.
Applicants who already hold or are expected to achieve FACD by August will be considered for a non-training post subject to availability. Priority will be given to those applicants who are eligible for an F2 training programme.
- Application Process
Applicants will need to complete an online application form. The timetable for the availability of the online form will be published each year.
It will be possible to save the application and return to it using an allocated password and the registered email address. However, it remains the applicants responsibility to ensure that the application is formally 'submitted' by the closing date. An email notification will be sent confirming submission of the form, but NOT every time it is saved. Saving the form will save all changes since the last occasion.
The online application form will be the only method of application. Paper applications, CVs and electronic CVs, forms or other documents will not be accepted. No exceptions will be permitted.
Once the application has been submitted, no alterations can be made.
- Shortlisting
Shortlisting will take place shortly after the closing date. Shortlisted applicants will be notified by email no less than seven days prior to interviews. Shortlisted applicants MUST confirm their attendance for interview or their 'slot' may be offered to another applicant.
- Interviews
NYEC Foundation school interviews are usually held in early May in Hull. Unfortunately, alternative interview dates will not be available.
The School and its affiliated Trusts operate a 'selection centre' style of interview, using several pairs of interviewers at different 'stations'.
- Post preferences
Each shortlisted applicant will be asked to complete a post preference sheet to enable offers to be made after the interviews.
- Offers
All those who are offered posts may have to pay in advance for CRB, Occupational Health Checks, and Work Permit (where applicable). This will be refunded on commencement of the post together with any approved expenses for attending the interview.
Any applicants not offered a post will have their approved expenses paid in line with NHS regulations.
