Foundation assessments
Elements shown in shaded cells (meetings with educational supervisors, MiniPATs and RITAs) MUST be done in the allotted weeks. The other assessments are arranged in a suggested timetable to assist with planning and avoiding a mad rush towards the end of the year (helpful to Assessors and trainees alike!).
Any difficulties should be discussed with the Programme Director at the Trust, so that appropriate assistance and support can be provided.
Adopting this suggested programme will also facilitate the appraisal process by providing objective evidence of elements which are doing well and others which may require additional support.
Note: The programme assumes four week months but each four month post has 17 weeks, always starting on the first Wednesday of the relevant month. Week 1 is therefore the first FULL week in the placement. For illustrative purposes the first week in the month also starts from the first Monday in the month.
