HYMS

HYMS is one of the newest medical schools in the UK, producing over 130 graduates each year. Its first graduates completed foundation training in 2010.

The two year Cardiology academic programme in NYECFS is new for 2012, with the first academic F2 trainees joining the team in 2013.

Cardiology academic outline

A new programme for Foundation building on the success of its first ACF programmes in 2010.

Details

The F1 year is spent in Grimsby (along with the other F1s doing the clinical research programmes), and in Hull for the F2 year.

The academic four months will be in the department of academic cardiology led by Professor John Cleland where a varied programme of research and clinical trials are undertaken.  This department forms part of the Postgraduate Medical Institute of Hull University.
